Arend van Dam born in 1945 near Rotterdam, a seaport town in the Netherlands. He studied Industrial Psychology at Free University in Amsterdam. After his graduation in 1970 he started to combine a full-time work as a cartoonist with a part-time job as teacher in Industrial Psychology at the university. As a cartoonist his work focuses on “political cartoons” (about national and international politics and politicians, economy, environment, human rights, education, technology, etc.) and cartoons about life in general and human relations. His drawings are published in the Netherlands, some in France and the USA. Van Dam has won many prizes. @arend_dam
