{"id":13421,"date":"2013-12-31T03:49:55","date_gmt":"2013-12-31T02:49:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.w-t-w.org\/en\/?p=13421"},"modified":"2013-12-31T03:49:55","modified_gmt":"2013-12-31T02:49:55","slug":"reserve-bank-of-india","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.w-t-w.org\/en\/reserve-bank-of-india\/","title":{"rendered":"Reserve Bank of India"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mumbai: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) warned on Monday that India\u2019s Rs. 81 trillion banking industry faces higher risks because of increasing bad loans and restructuring of debt by stressed corporate borrowers.\u00a0Stubbornly high inflation, too, remains a major concern, the central bank said in its biannual financial stability report (FSB).<\/p>\n<p>Risks to the banking sector have increased since the previous FSB was published on 27 June, RBI said. \u00a0\u201cAll major risk dimensions captured in the banking stability indicator show increase in vulnerabilities in the banking sector,\u201d the report said. \u201cAsset quality continues to be a major concern for scheduled commercial banks (SCBs).
