Conservative columnists suggest that it is unfair to other citizens of the UK who can’t vote on an issue that impacts them.\u00a0 Others are arguing that there are benefits to separation for workers.\u00a0 They talk about civic nationalistm \u2013 the idea that all citizens should be engaged in the process of deciding where society is headed, not just getting their hands on the tiller once every four or five years. It utilises the n-word because democracy on a national level offers the best opportunity for fundamental change.<\/p>\n

The vote appears to be close, but insiders think there will be no split at this time.<\/p>\n
