{"id":21860,"date":"2014-11-20T16:25:49","date_gmt":"2014-11-20T15:25:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.w-t-w.org\/en\/?p=21860"},"modified":"2014-11-20T16:27:25","modified_gmt":"2014-11-20T15:27:25","slug":"to-regulate-or-not-those-are-the-questions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.w-t-w.org\/en\/to-regulate-or-not-those-are-the-questions\/","title":{"rendered":"To Regulate or Not, Those Are the Questions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>What regulating the financial industry should and should not do in the US.\u00a0 J Christopher GIancarlo, Commissioner of the Commodities Futures Trading Commission laid out six principles before the US Chamber of Commerce.\u00a0 His full spech:\u00a0 <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.w-t-w.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/CFTC-Commissioner-Giancarlos-Speech.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">CFTC Commissioner Giancarlo&#8217;s Speech<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>Six Principles for Financial Market Regulation<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Regulation must:<\/p>\n<p>1. Not Restrain the U.S. Economy;<\/p>\n<p>2. Not Threaten American Jobs;<\/p>\n<p>3. Be Impartial and Balanced;<\/p>\n<p>4. Be Competent;<\/p>\n<p>5. Be Accountable; and<\/p>\n<p>6.
