Founder Dagmar had spent years in international women’s networks trying to promote a website focused on Women and Finance™.  The concept suddenly seemed not only relevant, but of crucial concern to women around the world…

How to present often complicated but necessary information in an engaging form?

We had a brainstorm.  Feature cartoons.  If a picture represents a thousand words, a cartoon represents 100 editorials.  It is eyecatching and then mind catching.
With cartoons, Finance is Fun™.

W-T-W is creating a knowledge database for and about “Women and Finance”.

W-T-W looks at issues facing women in international finance across the globe, bringing information into focus with informative news blogs, critical articles and a touch of funny and dark humour in cartoons.  We are particularly concerned with issues facing women in finance, entrepreneurs , financial literacy and corruption.

Finance gives you an overview of women and finance everywhere.

Network introduces you to women’s networks around the world.
Cartoons provide a touch of often dark humour.
International experts in the fields of finance and business are available for conferences, panel discussions and round tables.

W-T-W is creating a uniquely entertaining and informative website.

IWIB Supports W-T-W Finance

At IWIB International Women in Business we work together to support women of all industries, in all countries from all nationalities and cultures. Recently IWIB met with leading women in business, Dagmar Frank from Switzerland and Directors of the World Trade Women, W-T-W.

W-T-W for Women in Finance

The W-T-W team promotes a global initiative to support women in finance worldwide. They define financial literacy broadly to make sure that women in business are financially aware. They also show the many career opportunities available to women  in the financial world. W-T-W, together with women’s networks worldwide, is creating a comprehensive database of financial knowledge.

During an extensive conversation with Dagmar she shared with IWIB the inspiration behind their organisation and their future vision for supporting women in finance.

Finance is a critical element of all ongoing organisations, whether they are in the financial business or any other field. Women worldwide have been under represented in finance. Money is no longer the last taboo. Young people are learning early the hazards of credit cards, the need to save, and the present value of money.

Increasingly women work on Wall Street, become CFOs and CEOs, and start up their own businesses. Some are even teaching the subject at universities. Finance is becoming a popular career.

Working over the years on websites that connect women worldwide, we saw finance under- represented as a topic. We decided to step forward and provide a website for women in finance, and women who aspire to a career in finance. We focus on financial literacy and anti-corruption. In many countries, it is women who are brave enough and smart enough to step up and advocate transparency, the common good, and the well-being of families.

Our data base is developed to provide all the information you need in finance and anti-corruption.  We provide original documents that are not easily accessible. We provide the ubiquitous ticker tape, particularly noteworthy news and cartoons to bring a smile to sober and important issues.

With the expertise of W-T-W, we offer the opportunity to connect with women in finance throughout the world, build relationships with like minded women who need to develop their financial awareness and learn from others’ experiences.
We support women worldwide as they become financially astute.
